This distinctive shell-shaped label was developed for products which are produced by North West communities located near the proposed Shell Beach Protected Area in Region 1, the official organic region of Guyana. Products earning this label are produced under strictest standards to ensure uncompromising quality.

The Guyana Marine Turtle Conservation Society believes in fair trade and is complying with such measures that ensure equitable distribution of benefits to the indigenous communities that produce these fine products.
